Paducah Middle School will host the 2nd Annual Amazing Shake competition, presented by West Towne Pharmacy, on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Amazing Shake is a dynamic and exciting live competition where local leaders and role models in our community join to coach students about professional skills for success.
Paducah Middle students will prepare for the Amazing Shake in Leadership class during Amazing Week, January 8-12. Students participating in the Amazing Shake will then compete in multiple events. The winners receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Ron Clark Academy, in Atlanta, to represent Paducah Middle in the national competition on March 22-24, 2024.
During the Amazing Shake, students learn and develop professional qualities — from the mechanics of a proper handshake to how to have an interview. Developing these skills helps students present themselves exceptionally well for opportunities today and in the future. This annual contest allows us to test our students on these skills through a fun and memorable experience and enables us to engage with local business leaders on behalf of the school.
Paducah Middle welcomes business sponsors and individual donors to help support Amazing Shake student competitors, especially those who will advance to the national competition.
Community leader volunteers are a key part of the local event! Paducah Middle encourages businesses, non-profit and other workforce representatives to share their workplace expertise with students during the interactive, one-on-one challenges.
