Paducah Middle principal Geco Ross received the United Way of Paducah-McCracken County "Live United" Impact: Education award at today's United Way Victory Celebration held at Walker Hall.
The award is presented to the educator in our community who has gone above and beyond in improving conditions in our learning communities.
The colleague who nominated Mr. Ross said, "He has put his heart and soul into creating a new and exciting environment at Paducah Middle. When changes were necessary to accomplish this goal, he was not afraid to do just that. In his first year the atmosphere has been upgraded. Students want to learn and be at school. He is doing more than his share and has motivated staff members to be the best they can be."
Congratulations, Mr. Ross!
