The 8th grade recognition for football and cheer that was scheduled for Thursday, September 23 has been postponed. The recognition will be held Thursday, 9/30 between the 7th and 8th grade games at the Paducah Middle vs. Union County game.

You are invited to take part in a Community Focus Group that will be hosted by the University of Kentucky for the Paducah Public Schools equity audit. Our Community forums will provide an opportunity for families, community partners, and district employees to talk together about what matters to them about student achievement, discipline, graduation, school climate, and other topics. Black Coal & Roses Young Ladies Mentoring Program will present an Empowerment Workshop for Middle and High School female students Thursday, July 29 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Washington Street Church. You can use the QR code to register.

Softball Reminder: PM softball tryouts are Thursday, 7/22 at 6PM @ Sheppard’s Field. Players must have a physical, wear pants, socks, appropriate shoes, t-shirts, gloves, and their own helmet. Also bring water. More info about practices to come later.

Baseball Reminder: Paducah Middle baseball tryouts for 5th-8th grade will be Thursday, 7/22 @ Noble Park at 6PM. Baseball will work with the football schedule. If interested in playing please contact shawn.yarbrough@paducah.kyschools.us

The federal government has released its third round of emergency relief funds known as APR ESSER (American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary Emergency Relief) funds. Middle school and high school students are invited to Loqui, which will be held at Etcetera on Wednesday, July 21 at 4:30 PM. There will be free drinks and snacks. Loqui is an opportunity for students to have conversations about mental health and empowering students' voices.

Cross Country has started for grades 6-12 and we would love to have our middle school runners come out and participate. Practice will be M, W, F from 7:30-8:30 at the Noble Park shelter behind the pool through July 23 and then will pick up to 5 days a week after that. Students will need an updated KHSAA physical to participate. Contact Head Coach Jared Wynne if you would like to participate at Jared.wynne@paducah.kyschools.us
