Heather Anderson and McKayla Everly were honored with the Whitlow Commitment to Excellence Award at the May meeting of the Paducah Board of Education. Anderson is the Homeless Student Coordinator for Paducah Public Schools. Everly serves as a Digital Learning Coach for the district.
"I truly believe Ms Anderson knows each family by name and need," said Crystal Ware, who nominated Anderson for the award. "I truly believe she is the product of good fruit. Thank you, Mrs. Anderson! Keep your light on!"
"Technology is here to stay, and when it works it is wonderful and when it doesn’t Mrs. Everly is the one to get the call and she always answers!" said Sherry Bertram, who nominated Everly for the award. "She works tirelessly to find a solution for every problem. Our district is blessed to have someone like Mrs. Everly committed to help us all."
The Whitlow Commitment to Excellence Award was created in 2016 and was named for Mark Whitlow, who retired that year as the board attorney and served as the Paducah Public Schools Foundation president and volunteered more than 20 years wit the Paducah Tilghman High School mock trail team. The award honors those who demonstrate similar dedication and service to Paducah Schools.
