Paducah Middle Instructional Coach/Gifted teacher Danette Humphrey was recently appointed to the Kentucky Association of Gifted Education (KAGE) Board as one of six regional representatives.
Humphrey recently served as a facilitator for the annual KAGE state conference and will be an advocate at the local and state level for gifted students throughout KY.
Elected officers conduct the business of KAGE, which consists mainly of communicating with members, planning conferences and seminars, and developing procedures for keeping the public informed of the nature and needs of gifted young people.
KAGE strives to present professional development opportunities and parent sessions that offer proven effective instructional strategies, best practices, and information needed by educators and parents to meet the needs of gifted learners.
