Donta Tyler, director of the Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) at Morgan Elementary School, has been awarded the 2021 Harry J. Cowherd Award for Center Excellence by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services’ Division of FRYSCs.
Tyler attended Campbellsville University and earned a B.S. degree in Business Management. He has served Paducah Public Schools as a Family Resource Center Coordinator for sixteen years at Cooper Whiteside Elementary and Morgan Elementary. Mr. Tyler has coached football for Paducah Public Schools for eleven years.
“Mr. Tyler’s impact here is immeasurable,” said Morgan Elementary principal Dr. Mark Fenkse. “Mr. Tyler consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty in his outreach to families and his support of Morgan Elementary. His impact here is immeasurable. I couldn’t think of anybody else who’s more deserving of this award.”
